A Day Trip

If you enjoy car trips, bring your passport and head out for a 3-hour scenic drive to Quebec City. Have lunch at one of the sidewalk cafes and watch the street artists, take a horse drawn carriage ride through the historic city, visit the shops & galleries or tour the renowned Chateau Frontenac. You could easily return to beautiful Blair Hill Inn in time for 7:30 dinner reservations if you’d like!  This is not a guided trip but an idea for you to enjoy on your own.

Spend a day at Baxter State Park and take in the awe inspiring beauty of Maine’s highest mountain, Mount Katahdin. Only a 1 and ½ hours drive from Blair Hill over the river and through the woods, this excursion is great during the summer and fall.  This is not a guided trip but an idea for you to enjoy on your own.

Just a 2 and ½ hour drive from Greenville, Bar Harbor will give you the chance to experience the coast of Maine and better yet, the Northeast’s only National Park, Acadia. From Sand Beach, to Thunder Hole to the drive atop Battle Mountain with its stunning seascapes there is much to do and see. Have a fresh lobster lunch in one of the seaside restaurants. Then, return to Blair Hill Inn for evening cocktails on the veranda.  This is not a guided trip but an idea for you to enjoy on your own.
